See the fine style of Reuben Powell for free at Elefest 22nd – 26th Sept

Carrie ‘The Baroness’ Reichardt conquers Argentina!

Carrie Reichardt, recently returned from an international meeting of artists who were invited to  Buenos Aires, Argentina, to create  an intervention on the façade of the Center for Sports Activities, Cultural and Recreational “Roberto De Vicenzo, located on 148 Street – if you  know the area?! Carrie smashed her iconic and revolutionary style and says she had an epicly happy time, making a whole load of new friends in the process…
The intention was to activate the public space and reflect from the contemporary art on the cultural, social and political. 40 artists from  Poland, England, Italy, USA, Uruguay, Cuba, Latvia, El Salvador, Peru, Venezuela, United Kingdom, Argentina, Chile, Seberia, South Korea, Mexico and more made up the crew. Filthy Luker bombs Ecuador!

Our friend Flithy Luker has recently brought his inflated mad genius style to Ecuador and we’re loving it: Here’s a few works from the filthy man himself: “The photos above are from my recent visit to Ecuador alongside D* Face and Liniya the graffiti girl from Columbia. D* and I both felt honoured to be the first European artists to be invited over to ‘make a mess’ at the 9th street art festival in Quito, put on by Dinamo Events. We had a good time and made a splash. the photos are evidence.” … I remember those tentacles when they were just likkle nippers at the first Mutate show Behind the Shutters:

Newport trip inspires Ant stencil shed mutation

The living legend that is Jim Brown from Newport took it upon himself to cut an Ant stencil and add the little critters to his shed. Nice work Jim!

Major Lazer at Nottinghill Carnival 2010

Mutate Britain brought the heat to the Major Lazer x Red bull Music Academy party at Nottinghill Carnival this year. Featuring robotic installations by Giles Walker and a fire breathing dragon by Pakka, the party was one to remember with sets from the legend that is David Rodigan, Major Lazer and special guest appearance by Lee Scratch Perry.
