- Projects

Mutate Britain like development and collaboration. With a skilled team headed by Liam Hayhow, Garfield Hackett and Hugo Toland, we have extensive experience in production of large scale events, through to bespoke interior design and artist commissions. We’re also pretty handy when it comes to video production, this is looked after by Jack Lomax. Collaborators include festivals, record labels, charities and progressive brands. We love creating exciting new things, get in touch on our contacts page. Projects so far include:

Red Bull Events / Ninja Tune / Cutty Sark Whisky / The Robin Hood Tax / Tiger Beer / The Big Splash

Redbull Events
We work with Red Bull UK on a range of projects including: hosting the Redbull Music Academy at Cordy House, supplying Mutoid sculpture and Street Art for The Major Lazer / Redbull Nottinghill Carnival parties and setting up the Mutate Britain bar at Glastonbury. We like the way they approach collaboration – there’s some realistic thinking behind this mega-brand.

Ninja Tune
We recently collaborated with legendary music label Ninja Tune for their 20th anniversary XX celebrations. Working on the interior design and promotion leading up to a huge party held at Ewer Street car park. This short film by Dan Joyce includes a time lapse of mastermind artist Chu’s 30ft 3D Ninja sound system mural and sneak peak into the interior build and design from the team Hugo Toland & Liam Hay-how, plus some action from Mutate collaborators the HIT+RUN crew.

Cutty Sark Whisky
Cutty Sark Whisky approached us to make a Street Art film for them. We used Cordy House to make this short film that gave a stylish behind the scenes look at how the artwork they commissioned for their brand relaunch was created:

The Robin Hood Tax
This tax on banks – not you or I – could raise hundreds of billions to the NHS, schools, and tackle child poverty in the UK and globally. We were thrilled to organize a street exhibition attended by some Brit Hollywood names. Here’s the video:

Tiger Beer
2010 is the Year of the Tiger, so the beer brand wanted to create a series of unique artworks in the UK’s major cities. In London Joe Rush made a glorious mutated Tiger, whilst Liam Hayhow assisted Street Artist Chu in making an amazing piece of 3D Graffiti.

The Big Splash
In August 2010, in association with Newport Council, we took Mutate on tour to their Big Splash event. The Big Splash is a spectacular outdoor festival, on both banks of the River Usk. We provided Street Art workshops, live painting and installed sculptures and artwork.
