Stephen Fry Auctions Mutate’s David Walker Print Raising £2000 for Shelter Charity!

October 13th, 2010
We donated a David Walker print to Shelter’s charity auction and were ELATED that it was sold by national hero Stephen Fry for an incredible £2000. Hooray! This is the kind of Art sale it’s OK to enjoy. Love it.

All the proceeds went to the charity which provides hot meals and a warm bed to homeless people. It is London’s ONLY free homeless shelter which is open all year round and receives no help from government. It is not affiliated with any other organisation, is run entirely by volunteers from the local Islington community and is funded by donations alone.

Our thanks go to the astute gentlemen who made the discerning purchase, beneath is a pic of David’s original Mutate artwork on show at Glastonbury:

Shelter are truly dedicated and make a real difference to Londoner’s lives, in this video Pete Postlethwaite opens the Shelter from the Storm:

The event was a whopping great success and, in a Mutate Britain first, here are some Heat rag style sleb snapps from the evening. A huge well done to Laurent and all involved and thanks to Stefan Klenke for the pics.
